So, first of all, I want to thank everyone who has reached out directly, commented, or complained. This will be the final update I will hopefully have to make as we close out the year. First of all, if you requested a complimentary of Mafiosa, we will have them next week, as the release date has been pushed back time and time again due to problems at the ports (https://www.previewsworld.com/Catalog/JUN210327), and I will be shipping those following the holiday. 

Secondly, I have just resent digital rewards to everyone via BackerKit, as some of you said you had not seen them before, and additionally hopefully you will agree that this comic is every bit as good as you (and we) had all hoped. 

Finally, if you have reached out directly or even if you haven't but have not confirmed receipt of your rewards, I am sending ALL of the copies I have on hand out again over the next three days, so that I can say with full confidence that I personally put each and every copy in the mail before the holidays and end of year, so that this is all resolved.

Additionally, we are in another round of discussions with multiple parties for the future of Foundlings in comics, and on screen. You will all be the first to hear when there is news to share and hopefully by that time, the frustration we all feel around this particular experience will be behind us with an exciting future for Foundlings.

Hey everyone,

A few people have continued to note not having received books. Note ALL books have been shipped, so if you have not received yours, please drop me a line directly to [email protected] and/or [email protected]. For those who added a t-shirt in BackerKit, those will be shipping separately and arrivng to me by week's end, as they are being printed locally here in Portland. Had some problems sourcing the blanks I had hoped for, but was able to add onto a friend's order of Comfort Colors "washed black." 

Can't thank everyone enough for their patience and support throughout the challenges we ran into along the way, and please email me directly at the above addresses, as I am shipping any books that have not been received at my expense and want to make sure you have yours.

Friends,

It has certainly been a journey, and we cant thank you enough for your patience and support from the beginning of this project through the perils of pandemic printing. The final copies are all going out this week as promised in a perfect bound (as opposed to stapled) edition that will add to its premium feel, as it feels more like a book than a comic. What began as a way to get through printing delays and around paper shortages will give this book the presentation it and you deserve after having to wait such an impossibly long time. 

As mentioned in the last update, there will be no shipping charged, and if you said yes to my offer of a complimentary copy of the upcoming Dark Horse Mafiosa TPB, those will ship separately when the advances arrive sometime next month. I will email you directly once I have an exact date. First 100 copies are being hand sealed and shipped alongside all variants we hope you are happy with the book.

We hope to have news of our publishing partner VERY soon, and we will make sure all of you are the first to know. Additionally, we have already pre-booked printing time and paper for our next project which will be launching in October to prevent these challenges from occuring a second time, so look for more there soon.

Shipping Update!

Hello everyone,

First of all, I wanted to thank everyone who reached out directly and those who missed the survey and filled it out within this past week. I wanted to provide some clarity for EVERYONE here so that there are no unanswered questions, and reward everyone's patience as we ran into unexpected circumstances at every step of the production. 

First 100 TIer: We had an issue with producing the wax seal which will seal each of your bagged and boarded comics. The books have all been set aside and the seals are due to arrive on the 21st. I used the same company who made the seals in the previous campaign for the Mafiosa comic, but had a horrific customer service experience this time around, and a severe lack of communication (I realize this all probably sounds familiar, and my apologies), so I had to switch to a different company overseas. These will ship by priority mail the moment they arrive. 

Bleeding Cool variant: These were not printed with the rest of the copies and further pushed down the priority list at the printer we used in Canada (who print books for every major publisher), and so we switched printers to another company in Canada, and these will arrive Thursday. 

Standards and variants otherwise have been shipping and should be in your hands shortly if they are not already. 

While I realize it is not much to offset frustration around this project, we have not and will not be charging anyone's cards for shipping and I am absorbing all of those charges personally. While these COVID and post-COVID related challenges could not have been prevented, my communication every step of the way could have been, as I am a 20 year comics publishing veteran and could have been much more clear at each bump we faced in this road, even as I got overwhelmed. 

Additionally, we are very close to a publishing deal for this as a series with two different publishers, and I want to offer one more make good here. As mentioned the last Kickstarter I put together was for a series called Mafiosa, which will be release in TPB by Dark Horse in October. If you backed this campaign and are interested in a free copy of this $19.99 collection, please let me know at [email protected], and I will send you a copy at my expense the moment I have them.

Shipping and Overdue Surveys

First of all, we wanted to thank you all for your patience in the face of printing delays, and of course our BackerKit survey issues. If there is anyone who has not received a survey, please let me know directly ([email protected]), as we still have a few outstanding and we want to get your books to you! Speaking of, books are shipping now and we are getting closer and closer to having a partner to help us publish the rest of the first story arc. We should have more info on this soon, as we close in on some of the publishers we have been speaking to, but will make sure that YOU hear this news first.
